More About Me
Before this apprenticeship, I spent three years walking dogs around New York — good work, but not the plan. The plan had already taken a few detours: stints at several universities studying science and technology, including one in St. Petersburg, Russia, after I earned an A.S. in Computer Science at Kingsborough Community College. That degree got me into The Knowledge House’s Data Science Innovation Fellowship, which is where the rest of this site starts.

Archimedes’ line works twice: a practical statement about simple machines — the fulcrum of a lever — and an inspiring one about the power of movements, of people, ideas, planets. I cannot wait to add color to this.

Our history as descendants of formerly enslaved peoples is the focus. The crossword puzzle behind it carries the second idea: not knowing a history of oneself doesn’t doom us to a future of not knowing anything at all.

Practice
Oil and acrylic on canvas, hand-built sculpture, and digital work on iPad. Every piece here starts as a question I can’t answer in words — which is the same instinct that makes me useful on a messy dataset.
Commissions open
Freelance illustration and system diagrams — if you need a complex idea drawn so a room can follow it, that’s the job.
